The Ossipee Valley Music Festival is Maine’s premiere roots music festival. It’s a wonderful event that takes place every July in South Hiram, ME along the banks of the Ossipee River. With an eclectic lineup of music, plenty of activities for all ages, and an overall relaxed and welcoming vibe, the festival never fails to deliver. While they had a good website to start, it was about time for a fresh look.

This is a redesign of a pretty large WordPress site, so it took quite a bit of overhauling of not only the design, but also the code and functionality on the back-end. The primary objectives included streamlining website performance, ensuring easy usability from both a customer and maintenance perspective, and creating a striking and inviting design that matches the atmosphere of the festival itself accordingly. To help bolster the new design aesthetics, photography from the festival was chosen and utilized throughout the pages and custom illustrations by artist Betsy Heron was commissioned to give the project even more depth with a human-touch.
